We usually go for the familiar, tried and true recipes. Now that we're looking at gluten free pizza it's time to branch out and try something more exciting.
Don't be afraid to try some of these toppings on your favorite gluten free pizza dough recipe.
After all, you need only try something new on a small section of your pizza, or when you're making individual gluten-free pizza, try one new topping.

Basic pizza sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons dried basil (or a bunch of fresh if available)
- 1 14 oz can plum tomatoes, blended
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Gently fry the garlic in the olive oil.
- Add the basil and tomatoes.
- Simmer on a low heat until the tomato juice is reduced and the sauce is thicker but still easily spreadable.
- Season to taste.
