Basic gluten free pizza dough recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon quick acting yeast
- 1 cup brown rice flour
- 1/3 cup potato flour
- 1/3 cup sweet sorghum flour
- 1 teaspoon guar gum
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Directions for making gluten free pizza crust recipe
- Place the oil, vinegar, water, sugar and yeast in your bread machine and set it to "dough" according to the directions for the machine. (With my machine it takes about an hour and a half.)
- In a bowl stir together the dry ingredients and set aside.
- Assemble your pizza toppings and set aside.
- For one big pizza: when the dough is finished, tip it onto a lightly greased baking sheet and spread it thinly with the back of a spoon frequently dipped in water, (it's sticky!) leaving the edges a little thicker.
- For individual pizzas: spoon about three quarters of a cup of dough onto a lightly greased baking sheet and spread as with the large size.
- Finish off with toppings of your choice and bake in a 350 degree oven (about half an hour) until the gluten free pizza crust is lightly browned.
